Why do we need to create one? Can't we use a default? And how do I create fonts? Never done that before...

No! we must design all the things, as I said before we would remove topbar so we can not see or use default ones.

Aaah, now I get it, the symbols would also be characters from a font, not png-files, right?
If they don't resemble my Photoshop-example completely isn't that bad... as long as it doens't show colors (pure black & white topbar) and everything is clear, I'm happy.

I donwloaded Moriarty's Pie3 Font but I only see 3 circle-like things... do I need to create font characters for battery status, signal strenght, wifi, bleutooth etc also? Or are those regular png's?

Yes, not pngs, only characters in fonts.

in Pie3, there are symbols for:
1. battery level + power
2. Wifi icon
3. Bluetooth icon
4. some circles for showing signal strength - but they are not similar to that you have on sample.
5. digital time, which I used in my sample

we only need a series of characters (like circles) for signal. I think I should not be so hard to create fonts especially for you that are familiar with Photoshop. I heard that it is also possible to create font with photoshop options.

Ok! here is the first version. Only alpha testers!

Installation:
1. make sure to have successfully instaled rlToday.
2. make sure to have successfully instaled MortScript
3. Unzip FocalPi3ch.Zip to your rltoday directory (\Program Files\rlToday\)
4. Open mscr folder inside FocalPi3cH folder and run vjtoggletodayiialpha.lnk. NOT vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe!!!!
5. (After this step you would not see you topbar! so be curious!)Set topbar and bottom bar to 1px and 0 px and click on ok.
6. Run topbar.mscr.
7. Use your hardware key start button and go to Settings->Personal->Today
8. Goto to Item tab and diselect all other plugins and only select rltoday.
9. choose rltoday and click on option, and choose FocalPi3cH as you rltoday skin.
10. click on ok hardware key for 2 times so you would see you new skin

Known issues:
1. Display zero SMS, Email when you have no SMS. For removing this ugly zero we must have sample character in our font to make layer on top of 0 message.

2. I have problem to define OK/Close key with Vijkeypress so I use mortScript insted.

3. Sometimes when you close an app, you will see Keyboard icon on bottom bar! I don't know why this happen! but after opening and closing an app which do not have Keyboard (such as phone) this keyboard icon disapear.

4. Your cpu usage goes a little higher.

5. Changing font from pie3 to your would be created font. please add digit numbers to your font. since pie3 digit number are a little big and hard to handle.

I don't understand your sentence: we must have a sample character in the font to layer on top of the 0...
Is it possible to get rid of the entire circle when new sms/mail is 0? Something with System2Reg I think (http://rotlaus-software.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1124)

And if missed calls or new sms/email the word changes to the number, or the name stays with the number between brackets.

It is simple thing, You can add a circle charater to font (the same shape with circle PNG image). No not that much! but we need to do benchmarking on device. I runed this script for 24 hours my battery level was the same as previous times. this script will improve in future. So don't be worry about battery life

I think DS-Digital font. But Pie3 font digital numbers are much better. If you create your own digital numbers similiar to the one you create in sample picture, that would be so good.

I didn't create them in Photoshop, I just took the standard image from the Today Home Screen and made it somewhat blueish...

3 and 4 went wrong and had to hard reset... Could fint the .lnk file anywhere, never shows up when I sync it to my phone... accidently then started the .exe in total, lost top and bottom bar and could do anything. I don't have a hardware button to go to the startmenu (or I can't find it...) :s

So for the moment I'm leaving the top and bottom bar. Redid the skin to the new screen measurements.

1) I would also like to see an alarm icon when I have set an alarm, anyone knows how I can do that?

2) Further I still have the standard HTC grey top and bottom bars. Can't seem to find a program that can make the top bar black and the bottom bar in brushed metal. Any suggestions?

3) Next I'm wondering what the app path is to last made/missed/received calls for my phone button. Now it goes to the dialer but I would like to see that list instead.

4) And a last question (for now). Can I make an image change when clicking? When I touch the bottom bar for example the grey lights up, I would like to do that with my phone/sms/mail buttons...

OK! so you got problem.

I wonder that why you can not find those shortcuts in .lnk file. Anyhow, for creating shortcuts open notepad in your desktop computer and drop below line to it:

Change "\Program Files\vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe" to your vjtoggletodayiialpha path.
Change "49" to the number of characters in your path to vjtoggle. (optional)
Save file as .lnk file (not .lnk.txt! )
Copy above file to your PPC and run it to view vjtoggle configuration panel.

Shortcut to Today Items in Control panel, open notepad in your desktop computer and drop blow line to it:

this shortcut is useful when you do not have topbar.

At any time if you run Start.mscr in your mscr folder of FocalPi3cH skin you can get start menu open. Also run Close.mscr in order to press hidden close or OK buttons in Topbar.

Please inclued you png images and xml file and font for your lastest skin and let me work on them.

1. For alarm, I added new function in tobar.mscr. if you set new alarm you will see a hear beside digital clock. I will change this heart character to alarm chatacter as soon as download your new font. by clicking on hear time and alarm setting in control panel will open.

2. Only Skinmobile5. You can set background image with you favorite color for top and bottom bar.

3. download vjphonetools.

4. with simple registry changing it is possible.
