Marco Bonaguidi from Italy sent me a localised Version of rlCalendar for Italy. You can find it on the rlCalendar Project Page. Thank you Marco.

I have to apologize

Sorry that it took so long for the next staus update. A lot of people were worried if i’m in good health. Other asked if the development of rltoday came to an end. One guy wanted to buy the source code to continue and monetize the project.

First of all the reason for the long break is simple. I was heavily involved in some other projects that had top priority. And the last two weeks i was on vacation in the netherlands.

The project will continue, but before the next version will be out, i want to restructure some parts of the code for better memory handling. For using different subskins i have to create the possibilities for load unload the skins independently which is for some reasons currently not possible. Also pictures uses a lot of memory when used in more than one place. This will still needs a few weeks, but in difference to the last two months im working on the project again.

And now i stil have to answer a gazillion of emails that arrived in my vacation. I also have to read a lot of stuff in the forums. If you are waiting for an answer in a thread that i don’t answer in the next two days, then give me a hint via the contact form.

And last but not least i have to thank some people:

Maximilian, Peter and Kemal for their donations/books and especially Mark (known as emerym on the forum) for the great work on keeping the forums clean and up to date.

There was a serious bug in the calendar onclick code. New Version is online.

Small fix: The onClick subkey didn’t work on the image element.

rlToday V0.1.22

Posted in Allgemein on April 27th, 2007 by rotlaus – 1 Comment

Just a quick update before the next big feature update (Hint: Subskins!).

  • added a ‘unknown parameter’ at the registry element (to get rid of the ‘xxx’)
  • fixed the issues with the Timezones that contain a 1/2 hour offset
  • added the OnClick Element for setting manually apps on click event

Due to adding the OnClick Element all standard application starts are removed (Control panel clock does not start when clicking on AnalogClock). This have to be added as OnClick Element in the skin.

Another reason for no update coming

I’m lazy

Posted in Allgemein on April 11th, 2007 by rotlaus – 3 Comments

Sorry, still no new version. At the Easter weekend there was to much family around. I also got two new games, Call of Duty 2 and Need for Speed Most wanted (ok, they are old, but they were new for me), so i had some serious play to do ;) . And for most of the rest of the time the weather was to good and i was too lazy.  Sorry, but you’ll have to wait a little more.

rlToday Version 0.1.21

V0.1.21 Sample
I’m sorry, there is still an issue with parsing the vector clockhands, so this version has only two new features:
- display application names
- display registry values
Download as usual on the project page

Development still active

Just wanna let you know that the development of rlToday is still active. Currently working on:

  • Displaying Appnames -> Done!
  • Vector Clockhands -> 75% done
  • Displaying Registry Values -> 50% done

I hope to get the new version this weekend out.
